Dear SciServer users
I just had to reboot the compute nodes of the “SciServer-Large” and Job domains because the Virtual Machines were overloaded and locked up, apologies in case that impacted any software you were running.
When you are running larger processing jobs either on interactive nodes or on the job nodes please be mindful that they are shared resources and try not to exceed a machine load larger than the number of cores available for a longer time.
In the small “SciServer" domain containers that is 12 cores.
On the “SciServer-Large” domain and in compute jobs 40 cores are available in a container.
I hope everything is back to working order, thanks to everyone who reported issues with the compute containers!
cheers
Jonas
