[Newathena-cg-telecon] Status of the NewAthena Community Call

Dear colleagues, 

We would like to update you on the status of the NewAthena Community Call. So far, we have received 385 registrations. The countries with the highest number of registrations are as follows: Italy (107), the United States (63), Spain (31), Germany (29), France (26), the Netherlands (21), the UK (17), and Japan (10). 

This morning, we sent a reminder to the Athena community, and we would appreciate your assistance in promoting the call among your national astronomical societies, as you have already done for countries with higher registration numbers (Italy, USA, Spain, etc.). 

Based on some feedback, we emphasized in this reminder that the Working Group 7 (WG 7) on Science Support is the appropriate group for scientists involved in developing software for the reduction and scientific analysis of NewAthena data, as well as for those planning calibration activities and corresponding facilities or monitoring the instrument's scientific performance.
