<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;" class="">Dear SciServer users<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I am happy to report that the computing capabilities available on the SciServer have been expanded quite a bit.</div><div class="">From now on you will be able to start interactive compute containers with 40 CPU cores and a memory allowance of 160GB (can be increased if needed)</div><div class="">In order get a large container select<b class=""> SciServerMPE-Large</b> in the upper <b class="">Domain</b> pull-down menu when you create a new container.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The Compute Job nodes have been switched to to the same hardware specifications as well so that big batch jobs get the best chance of finishing in a timely manner.</div><div class="">The old small job nodes have already been deactivated and the freed up CPU cores and memory will be added to the “small” interactive nodes so that they remain useful in the future as well.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Please give the new compute nodes a try and as always, don’t hesitate to contact me if you experience problems or have questions.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">cheers</div><div class="">Jonas</div><div class=""><div class="">
